SAFAA ERRUAS Safaa Erruas (b. 1976 , Morocco) graduated from the Institute of Fine Arts in Tetouan, Morocco in 1998. Safaa’s work is described as representing the complexity and permanent tension between sensation, perception and experience. Her materials comprise sewing needles, razor blades, gauze strips, metallic thread, cotton and paper. Since 1996 Safaa has been exhibiting regularly in France, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Norway, Algeria, India and the United States. She also participated in the Dak’Art Biennial in 2002 and 2006, and the 25th Alexandria Biennial for Mediterranean countries in 2009.
